Governance

Heads Of Partnership
Heads of Partnership

We have followed the Northumberland County Council’s suggested governance model (see below).  We have now set up a governance voluntary committee whose membership is both senior management and an extended services link governor from each school within the partnership.

What does the committee do?

  • Manages and directs the extended services agenda meeting on a quarterly basis.
  • Membership is made up of a governor and a senior member of management from each school and carries voting powers.
  • A greater community involvement - key agencies such representatives from health, children's services, FACT's team, early years, youth workers, voluntary bodies are invited to attend making the committee a true partnership and greatly enhance us to meet our targets.
  • Enables us to further access external funding.
  • Will allow us to build up a team including volunteer workers right across the partnership.
  • Reports back to their relevant school governing bodies – widening the communication channels.

Aim of the Committee

  • Defining the vision
  • Development planning
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Financial decisions
  • Staff appointments (for Extended Services only) and work programmes
  • Income generators
  • Share information across the partnership
